Description
ZenBooking is a comprehensive event and wellness marketplace platform in Switzerland. As part of my third project at SwissDigiLab, we built a multi-featured booking platform with web and mobile applications serving businesses, instructors, and clients. The platform operates on a subscription-based model where businesses subscribe to different tiers that unlock various features for publishing events, managing room rentals, and selling gift cards and subscriptions to their clients. Businesses can invite instructors to their events, who can accept or decline invitations. Clients can browse and book events, rent rooms, purchase gift cards and subscriptions, all with flexible payment options. The platform supports multiple payment gateways including Twint, credit cards, and cash..., which businesses can configure independently. I was part of the frontend team, where I used NextJS (TypeScript) with Bootstrap and Sass for the UI. I implemented real-time chat functionality between all platform actors using WebSockets, and integrated Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications. I worked on Stripe payment integration, i18next for multilingual support. I contributed to the full development cycle, handling the booking flows, business management features, payment systems, and the three dashboards. I also worked on the mobile application using Expo, React Native. We followed agile methodologies (SCRUM) with regular sprints and maintained a CI/CD pipeline using GitLab for automated deployments.
