Description
As part of the Master 2 project at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, my team and I built a platform that streamlines the management of university applications coming from the EEF (Études en France) and eCandidat platforms. Program managers can create evaluation sessions, import application files, assign them to evaluators, and follow the whole pipeline through detailed statistics before making the final decisions. Evaluators review and categorize the applications assigned to them through a dedicated interface. For the frontend, we used NextJS with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui. For the backend, we used NodeJS (TypeScript) with Express, Drizzle ORM and PostgreSQL, with MinIO for file storage and a documented API through Swagger/OpenAPI. For the DevOps part, the platform was deployed on university VMs (preprod and prod) using Docker, Nginx as a reverse proxy, and GitLab CI/CD to automate deliveries, with SonarQube quality gates enforced on every pipeline to keep the code quality high. This project was a great opportunity to work on a real need of the university, and to learn more about Drizzle, MinIO and deployment on self-hosted infrastructure. See More
